  Pioneer seed dealership. Fertilizer and chemical sales, application as a sprayer operator, and wholesale chemistry bought through a co-op.

• Grain marketing

  Grain origination at a co-op in Templeton, Iowa, and again at Grainland in Haxtun.

• Running the businesses

  Four of them, alongside the farm. A real estate license earned and worked in Phoenix before coming home.

• Spreadsheets & cost modeling

  Years of building cost models, crop plans, and rate sheets in Excel — the crop planner on YourAgInfo started there before it was code. The tools I write still read and write it.

• Building software

  Self-taught, and everything I write I also deploy and maintain. Fifteen sites and tools are in production: React and Next.js front ends, Node and Express APIs, MongoDB and SQLite behind them, running on Render, Vercel, and GitHub Pages. Sign-in, document handling, field mapping, and payments where the job needs them.

• Serving

  Colorado FSA State Committee and the Colorado Corn Growers Association board. Ten years on the F&H Golf Course board, four as its president. Before any of it, class, H Club, and FFA president in the same year.

Away from work

Brandi and I raise our family on the farm. I write songs, published on Suno as broosetucker. I wrote about the Logan Fire of March 6, 2017, and keep a Tennessee Titans collection that has gotten out of hand.
